Restaurant Teaterkælderen is located in the New Theatre in the theater’s old rustic basements. Columns and archways in large and small spaces that create a unique atmosphere, which is an experience in itself. The walls are decorated with historic theater photos and posters from the New Theatre’s productions since 1908.

Waiters are young singers and musicians who are entertaining throughout the evening between serving if time permits. The repertoire is both evergreens and new songs.

Restaurant serves modern Nordic-French cuisine based on fresh seasonal ingredients. Restaurant Teaterkælderen is a Climate+ restaurant, which means there is a special focus on ecology and sustainability. Their products are primarily organic or biodynamic and food philosophy is a mix of classic and innovative – a focus on new cooking methods and ideas combined with the classic.
