THE BIGGEST BANKNOTE OF THE WORLD IS IN LITHUANIA
A lot has been written and said about the role of money and the seal of money above the human life. Could it be not only the tool of sheltered life, but a source of creative inspiration? Turns out it can.
A great example is the design work of Lithuanian architect Rimas Adomaitis (RA Studio), who experimented with the form of a banknote. Nowadays this building is called the biggest and most unusual banknote in the world.
The building was designed in the form of the LTL 1000 banknote that dates back to 1926.
The special mission of this building is to commemorate Lithuania’s accession to the EU.
The grand opening of the new 10-storey office building in Lithuania’s second-largest city, Kaunas, was in 2008. The design of the new office building amazed the world. The Banknote Building is also known as Office Center 1000. It quickly became the place to visit in Kaunas and it is listed as one of the top famous architectural buildings in the world.
